Report from the Asbury Underground October 2015 Event:
Hope you were able to come out on the 17th for the Asbury Underground October 2015 edition! There was so much great music around town. The event hosted fifty five performances at twenty eight venues around town, including ours. The next Asbury Underground will take place January 16th, part of the Light of Day Winterfest. Here’s a review and photos from the Asbury Park Press newspaper.
Jose Loo put on a wonderful show here at Backward Glances. We loved his original songs, as well as his cool covers of Stevie Wonder and Bob Marley, plus his stories about his 1992 Star Search appearance. We plan to have Jose back here for a longer set soon; check our events page for the announcement.

- Yummy bites from the Cuban Cafe
October 17th was also the very first Asbury Bites, sponsored by the Asbury Park Merchants group. We had some yummy ham croquettes, rice and beans from the Cuban Café on Memorial Drive here in Asbury Park. Thanks to Christopher Gonzales of the Chat & Nibble for all his hard work organizing this event. Looking forward to the next one!
