Asbury Park Mardi Gras Day 2022

It’s back! Asbury Park Mardi Gras Day 2022!
We took a year off, but our New Jersey version of Mardi Gras day 2022 will return on Saturday February 26th.
This will be the 6th year for our event! We hold it on Saturday instead of Fat Tuesday so everyone can attend, but we’ve got the Mardi Gras spirit.
Join us for the return of the King Cake Baby Hunt from 12 pm to 5 pm. It’s a festive scavenger hunt for all ages, free to participate. Start at Backward Glances, inside the Shoppes at the Arcade, 658 Cookman Ave., & get the locations of all the king cake babies. Visit the shops & find each baby. Each one is holding a secret word. Write all the words on your entry blank, then return to the start to hand in your form. We will be picking random entries who completed the hunt to win great prizes!
Next up is the Mardi Paws parade at 2:00. This was such a fun event in 2019; we can’t wait to see all the wonderful costumes you have dreamed up for your pets this year. All registration proceeds go to Wag On inn Rescue. Register here! Come with your pet or just come watch the fun. Pets will parade down Cookman Avenue and be judged for best costumes.
That night will be our annual Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball at the Saint, 601 Main Street, starring our faves The VooDUDES with special guests. We will be crowning the ruler of the ball, so start working on those costumes. Tickets available here ($17 advance/$22 day of show) or at the Saint or Backward Glances with no fees.
